Fayetteville, Ark. – In addition to college students attending the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville is also a popular destination for job seekers moving to Northwest Arkansas, as well as retirees drawn to the Ozark Mountains.
However, all of that population growth comes with a cost–higher rent. For example, the average cost to rent an apartment in Fayetteville is now over $1,400 a month.
But, with a little searching and luck, renters can still find apartments for half that amount.
1. Washington Plaza Apartments
This community has one-bedroom units available for around $650 a month. Furthermore, major utilities are included in the rent.
Residents also enjoy walk-in closets, laundry facilities, and being close to the University of Arkansas.
2. Pierce Properties
Pierce Properties sometimes has studio apartments for as low as $600 a month. And that also covers all utilities.
Other perks include a washer and dryer, high-speed internet access, and a grilling and picnic area.
3. Yugo Fayetteville Dickson
For UofA students looking for affordable off-campus housing, this property has four-bedroom, four-bathroom apartments available for $679 a person. Plus, all utilities are covered in the rent, even cable and WiFi.
Additional amenities include a fitness center, clubhouse, and in-unit washer and dryer.
4. C&W Apartments
Located just north of Fayetteville in neighboring Springdale, this apartment community has one-bedroom units that rent for $650 a month.
Residents enjoy having a washer and dryer, air conditioning, and a renters insurance program.
5. Ozark Villas
Another affordable off-campus housing community near the U of A. Ozark Villas often has apartments available starting at $650 a person/bed.
In addition to paid utilities, other amenities include a swimming pool and clubhouse, fitness center, WiFi access, and an in-unit washer and dryer.
6. The Row @ Arkansas
The Row @ Arkansas has both furnished and unfurnished student apartments available for rent.
For example, a four-bedroom unfurnished unit starts at $640 a person, while a four-bedroom furnished unit starts at $700 a person.
7. 1131 Oakland Ave
Finally, this last property has a bedroom available for $600 a month.
Residents enjoy being in a walkable neighborhood near shopping, restaurants, and the U of A.
