This is the tenth consecutive year that Texas Mutual has given a $100,000 grant to the college to support the risk management program.
According to Paxton LeMond, a senior safety services consultant for Texas Mutual, the grant will be used to fund trainers, safety equipment and training materials.
“El Paso’s unique because you have construction, you have trucking, just all different types of industries. So [the Risk Management Institute] tailors their program to provide safety training classes to prevent workplace accidents and exposures,” said LeMond.
