Farmers Insurance has recently announced the appointment of Eric Coleman as the new President of Business Insurance.
In his new role, Coleman will directly report to Raul Vargas, CEO of Farmers, and assume responsibility for spearheading commercial underwriting, product, strategy, finance and exploring new market opportunities for the Farmers business insurance team.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Coleman brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.
Before joining Farmers, he spent over a decade at Nationwide, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Small Business Insurance. In this capacity, he managed a diverse national product portfolio and supervised regional operations, including underwriting, processing, and sales.
Prior to that, Coleman held various senior leadership roles at both Travelers Insurance and Allied Insurance.
Vargas commends Coleman’s leadership abilities, stating, “Eric is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of adding to an organisation’s bottom line and helping to reshape go-to-market strategies.”
He expresses his excitement about Coleman’s appointment, noting, “He has deep expertise and will be an asset to the team as we seek to strengthen and capitalise on business insurance opportunities.”
