MPS names principal

Van Bardell has been named principal at Lewis & Clark Elementary School in Mandan.

Bardell spent two years as dean of students at Fort Lincoln Elementary in Mandan, until stepping into his current role as learning design and innovation leader at Bismarck Public Schools in July 2023.

He starts his role in August.

Cedric Theel Toyota adds staff

Michael Sanford and Trent Stoddart have been hired as service advisers by Cedric Theel Toyota. Sanford and Stoddart work with service technicians and customers helping with warranty questions, answering other questions and scheduling maintenance needs.

Sanford attended the University of North Dakota, where he earned a degree in aviation. He has a background in sales for home and car audio systems.

Stoddart has 14 years of wireless sales experience with Verizon and AT&T. 

Insurance Reserve Fund promotes

The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund has promoted Renae Keller to special funds underwriter.

Keller first joined the NDIRF in 2020 as an underwriting support specialist, bringing with her nearly 10 years of industry experience including underwriting and operations management for home, auto, farm, life and business insurance.

CVB names VIPs

The Bismarck-Mandan Convention & Visitors Bureau named Mike Forrest, Kim Jondahl, Jenny Yearous, Ethan Eberle, Lance Duey and Susan Samson-Liebig as VIPs at the CVB Annual Meeting Luncheon held April 2 at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science.

Criteria for becoming a VIP is the members assisted in securing a new national or regional meeting in Bismarck or Mandan.

Association recognizes EMS provider

Jennifer Murphy has been recognized as the 2024 North Dakota EMS Association ALS Provider of the Year.

This award recognizes association members who have made significant contributions to the provision, development and improvement to local, regional and state prehospital care.

Murphy is an EMS provider with Metro Area Ambulance Service and an active member of the North Dakota Army National Guard.

Adviser earns distinction

Joel Bird, a private wealth adviser with Legacy Financial Partners in Bismarck, has been recognized by the company’s Circle of Success program.

He was one of only 51 advisers recognized by the program in 2023.

Legacy Financial Partners is a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services.

Amy Asche, Tori Meyer, Amber Sandness, Shirley Thomas, Judy Maslowski, Darcy Fettig, Brandon Fettig, Candi Steidler and Justin Sackman have been named Bianco Realty’s top Realtors of the month based on their closed sales for March.

Farm merchandiser awarded

Dave Spickler of Lighthouse Commodities has been honored with the John Lee Coulter Award by the NDSU Department of Agribusiness & Applied Economics.

The award recognizes people who have made significant contributions to agribusiness in North Dakota.

North Dakota Farmers Union Insurance, based in Jamestown, announced professionals who exceeded in their positions for the month of February.

Dave Berger, Mandan, was the top producer of auto insurance sales.

Courtney Schauer, Mandan, was a top producer of annuity sales, health insurance sales and life insurance sales.

Philip Halvorson, Mandan, was a top producer of health insurance sales and life insurance sales.

Ryan Ressler, Mandan, was a top producer of annuity sales.

Lewis Schock, Mandan, was a top producer of health insurance sales.

Jason Smith, Mandan, was a top producer of annuity sales and life insurance sales.

Troy Renwick, Mandan, was a top producer of health insurance sales.
