A Sarasota-based insurance agency has acquired an employee benefits firm that is also headquartered in Sarasota. Atlas Insurance Agency will now oversee Atlas Employee Benefits. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Atlas Insurance Agency, founded in 1953, provides insurance for businesses and individuals. With the acquisition, officials say the company will be able to provide more offerings for business owners.
Atlas Employee Benefits provides offerings like health and life insurance, among others.
“Bringing employee benefits into the Atlas family allows us to offer even more services for business owners, ensuring their employees’ well-being,” Atlas Insurance President Rob Brown says in a statement. “What was already a strong, full-service solution is now even more complete.”
Whereas the two companies functioned as separate entities before, Atlas Employee Benefits will operate under the Atlas Insurance brand moving forward.
