Beginning this fall, Wright Flood will service, administer, and issue NFIP policies for FICOH policyholders and agents. Wright National Flood Insurance Company will issue all new policies and renewals, while the companies said retail agents placing flood coverage through FICOH should see minimal changes to their existing process.
FICOH, founded in 1911, is Hawaii’s oldest and largest domiciled property and casualty insurer and is part of Tokio Marine North America. According to the company, it distributes its products through 26 independent general agencies.
“First Insurance Company of Hawaii combines over a century of local market knowledge with the global strength of the Tokio Marine Group, making it a cornerstone of Hawaii’s insurance industry and a trusted partner for residents and businesses statewide,” said Patricia Templeton-Jones, CEO and chief program advocate of Wright National Flood Insurance Services. “We look forward to continuing their long history and providing their agents with our experience in the flood insurance industry.”
“FICOH has built the largest NFIP book in Hawaii thanks to the dedication and expertise of our flood underwriting team over many years. As we looked ahead, it was important to partner with a highly reputable NFIP provider that shares our commitment to personalized service.” – Lance Kawano, senior vice president of First Insurance Company of Hawaii.
Wright Flood, which has specialized in flood insurance for more than 40 years, offers federal, excess, and private flood insurance and is rated A (Excellent) by AM Best.
