Aon said Tuesday that it has launched a new application programming interface, or API, integration linking its Aon Broker Copilot with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial insurance arm of the Swiss Re Group, allowing risks to be bound digitally.
This makes Swiss Re Corporate Solutions the first insurer to integrate directly with Aon Broker Copilot through API connection, the broker said in a statement.
The API integration allows a direct connection to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ underwriting application for the transfer of risk data, the statement said.
The connection is aimed at improving the speed and reducing friction and “manual touchpoints” of insurance submissions and the underwriting process.
The direct digital connection between broker and insurers should help make placing commercial insurance “faster, simpler and more precise,” Nina Arquint, CEO UK & Ireland at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, said in the statement.
