Relation Insurance Services announced it has acquired the assets of Thorn Creek Insurance Services, with the transaction taking effect on January 31, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2011 by Troy Alexander and headquartered in Springfield, Illinois, Thorn Creek operates in the property and casualty sector with a focus on farm, business, livestock, and commercial agriculture coverage. The firm serves clients nationwide and also provides home, auto, life, trucking, pollution legal liability, and pet business insurance solutions.
The acquisition expands Relation’s capabilities in the agricultural insurance market and adds Thorn Creek’s specialized expertise to its existing platform.
Relation Insurance Services is an insurance brokerage providing risk management and benefits consulting services across the United States. The company ranks among the top 25 largest agencies in the country by revenue, according to Insurance Journal, and employs approximately 1,350 people across more than 100 locations nationwide. Relation is privately held and backed by Aquiline Capital Partners, a private equity firm investing globally across financial services and technology.
