France-based Aegist Specialty has appointed Samir Hemsi as chief executive officer, effective October 2025, Reinsurance News reported. He will be based in Paris and will focus on specialty underwriting across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Hemsi brings over two decades of experience to the role, having previously served as chief underwriting officer at U.K.-based Westfield Specialty International SA and Bermuda-based Argo Group International Holdings Ltd.
