Alliant Insurance Services announced Tuesday that it has acquired Highpoint Insurance Group, a Friendswood, Texas-based brokerage.
Terms were not disclosed.
Highpoint specializes in providing insurance coverage for mid-sized businesses, including in the energy and construction sectors, and has 44 employees in the greater Houston area, Alliant said.
It will operate as Alliant after the acquisition.
The deal is the second Alliant has completed in Texas in the past few weeks. In October, it acquired Merced-based McAfee Insurance Agency.
