Boissevain business rebranded, but offers same great hometown service – DiscoverWestman.com

The staff at the Westland Insurance office in Brandon held their open house yesterday at their South Railway Street location in Boissevain.  What was once known as Andrew Agencies has been rebranded to Westland Insurance.

Boissevain Branch Manager, Candace Andries, says Westland Agencies acquired Andrew Agencies this past summer in July.

“We’re rebranding to Westland Agencies but we’re providing all the same markets that we did before, and we’re still the friendly folks that we were before,” shares Andries.  “We might even bring in some new markets for our customers.”

“We’re continuing to provide MPIC service, as well as provide home insurance, business insurance, farm and commercial insurance,” she explains, “as well as travel insurance for those who are planning trips this winter, just the same as we did before.”

Westland Insurance was founded in 1980 and has branches across western Canada.  They support local organizations across the country, investing over $1 million each year to help local organizations with financial and volunteer contributions that make lasting social and environmental impacts.

For example, in November Westland Insurance donated $10,000 to Harvest Manitoba, an organization that works to ensure food security for all Manitobans. ‘Harvest Manitoba collects and shares 12 million pounds of healthy and nutritious food to hungry Manitobans every year. Each month, they serve over 90,000 individuals, nearly half of whom are children. They collect and distribute nutritious food to people who need it the most, including families, seniors, and individuals who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing food insecurity.’

Andries says the four staff members at the Boissevain location are all part of the agriculture sector in one way or another and so understand the community of Boissevain-Morton, and the Westman Region as a whole.

“We understand the agriculture community and so understand all the needs of our clients with regards to their insurance needs,” she adds. “So, the name has changed to Westland Insurance, but the service still remains the same!”
