Cannon / Rutherford County FEMA Sites Closing Soon for In-Person Storm Relief Filing

RUTHERFORD / CANNON COUNTY, TN – UPDATE: Time is running out for area residents to file claims “in-person” with FEMA representatives. For anyone who experienced damage related to the storm system that moved through our local area of Rutherford and Cannon County, FEMA reports their Cannon County Disaster Recovery Center in Woodbury will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 9th. However, you can still get help at other centers OR the FEMA Helpline. The Cannon County center is located at East Side Elementary School in Woodbury. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. On Monday and Tuesday, their final hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to help survivors of the March 31st to April 1st tornadoes.

In Rutherford County, the temporary FEMA site is in Rockvale. That Mobile Disaster Recovery Center at the Rockvale Community Center is still open, operating from 8AM to 7PM on Friday, with its last day to be open on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

For additional help, you may visit any recovery center to get help or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362.
