Car insurance rates in California are expected to skyrocket by more than 50% this year. As of June, the average annual cost for full coverage is more than $2,400 statewide. That’s up 45% from last year. Harvey Rosenfield, the founder of Consumer Watchdog, joined us on ‘The Nine’ to talk about the factors driving up the cost, and what consumer should look out for when shopping for new rates.
