Confie expands portfolio with acquisitions of Sanborn's Insurance and Atlantic Insurance Agency

Confie, a leading personal lines insurance distribution company, announced the acquisition of two prominent insurance agencies, Sanborn’s Insurance and Atlantic Insurance Agency.

These strategic acquisitions fall in line with Confie’s continued efforts to expand its portfolio and establish a stronger presence in key markets.

The company has acquired Sanborn’s Insurance, which will fall under its general agency brand, Bluefire Insurance, and Atlantic Insurance Agency, which will join its national brand, Freeway Insurance.

Sanborn’s Insurance, established in 1948, is a multi-location retail insurance agency and wholesale general agency. Sanborn’s has become a trusted provider of non-standard tourist auto insurance, personal property, and casualty insurance to thousands of drivers across the southwestern US.

“Sanborn’s Insurance has a strong 75-year legacy in the industry, and Atlantic Insurance further grows our footprint in the Chicago area,” said Cesar Soriano, Confie CEO.

“We are excited to welcome both organizations to our Confie family,” Soriano added.

With this acquisition, Sanborn’s Insurance will continue to operate under its current brand, and all current employees will be retained by Confie.

Atlantic Insurance Agency, founded in 2014, is a family-owned agency experiencing rapid growth in the Chicago area. As an independent agency, they offer a range of insurance products, including non-standard auto insurance, home insurance, boat insurance, and more.

Pablo Steinman, President of Sanborn’s Insurance, highlighted the potential for accelerated growth through the partnership with Confie.

“With this partnership, we share a commitment to provide the best insurance solutions for our customers.”

Chad Maxwell, SVP of Mergers & Acquisitions at Confie, emphasized the company’s ongoing expansion efforts and community-focused approach. “We continue to grow into new markets and are always looking for agencies to join our family of brands. We want to be in the communities our customers live in,” Maxwell stated.
