Cookeville Regional Medical Center has been affected by the cyberattack last month on Change Healthcare, but hospital officials said that patient care has not been affected by the attack.
“Cookeville Regional Medical Center, like hospitals nationwide, has been affected by the UnitedHealth Group cyberattack,” said Hannah Davis, marketing and communications director at CRMC. “Patient care has not been affected in any way by the attack. However, Cookeville Regional does use Change Healthcare (a part of United Health Group) for claims processing, and that has disrupted billing for services.
“CRMC is hopeful they will be able to resolve the claims processing issue as quickly as possible,” Davis said. “UnitedHealth Group has a site set up for information regarding the attack and response at unitedhealthgroup.com/changehealthcarecyberresponse.”
