GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Four people are displaced after a fire at a Green Bay apartment Wednesday morning, officials tell FOX 11.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department were called to an apartment complex in the 500 block of Spinnaker Lane around 10:20 a.m.
Working smoke alarms alerted the residents to the fire, officials said.
Viewer photos show firefighters on the ground spraying water at flames and smoke on the balcony of a second-floor apartment.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Officials say the blaze caused approximately $55,000 in damage to one of the unit’s eight apartments.
Two adults and two children were displaced as a result of the fire.
The residents did not have renters insurance. GBMFD says this incident serves as an important reminder for people to have renters insurance.
