Fortegra (Jacksonville, Fla.) has appointed Iwan Röpcke as CEO, Belgium.
Röpcke joins the specialty insurer from Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A., where he served as Country Manager for Belgium and the Netherlands. Fortegra says he will oversee the company’s Belgium operations and business development activities.

Röpcke has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience across broking, commercial leadership and executive management roles in the Benelux and European markets.
Prior to Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A., he held leadership positions at Willis Towers Watson through Gras Savoye, including Head of Sales and Head of the Competence Center. His background also includes roles at Inter Partner Assistance, AXA Assistance, Winterthur Europe Assurances, AIG Europe, Aon Belgium and Marsh.
Fortegra says Röpcke’s experience includes specialty insurance markets and broker distribution relationships across Europe.
The company says he holds an MBA from the Vlerick School at the University of Ghent and is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
