Gallagher names new managing director

Arthur J. Gallagher Co. said Friday it has named former Praesidium Inc. executive Candace Collins global safeguarding managing director.

In the newly created position, Ms. Collins will bolster Gallagher’s capabilities in sexual abuse risk prevention and response, the broker said.

She reports to Eric Pan, practice group strategy leader for Gallagher.

Ms. Collins, who is based in Dallas, was most recently senior director of strategic alliances at consultant Praesidium, where she developed abuse prevention strategies through insurance partnerships.

Prior to that, Ms. Collins practiced law for more than a decade, focusing on insurance coverage, and served as an assistant attorney general for the state of Texas, where she prosecuted abuse and neglect in long-term care and behavioral health facilities.
