The latest from Go Shorty;
GoShorty, the award-winning insurtech business behind one of the UK’s fastest-growing temporary insurance platforms, has announced a significant expansion of its product portfolio with the launch of three new specialist lines.
The rollout begins with the immediate launch of temporary motorhome insurance, which will be followed by dedicated temporary taxi and temporary hire & reward car insurance, specifically for food and parcel delivery. The expansion signals GoShorty’s strategic push beyond its core of temporary car, van, learner and impound release cover, into wider specialist short-term insurance markets.
The new temporary motorhome product offers flexible cover from 1 to 28 days. Critically, it addresses a common cover gap, with many standard annual private policies leaving owners exposed if they lend out their vehicles privately. By enabling the driver of the borrowed motorhome to secure standalone, short-term cover, any potential claims are handled entirely independently of the vehicle owner. This ensures the owner’s policy is untouched and would leave their No Claims Discount (NCD) completely unaffected.
The upcoming launch of temporary taxi insurance and temporary car insurance for hire-and-reward reflects GoShorty’s continued growth into specialist short-term cover, supporting a wider range of drivers with more flexible policy options.
Phil Evans, Managing Director at GoShorty, explains: “We are entering an exciting new phase of growth at GoShorty, expanding the reach of temporary insurance into more specialist areas of the market that have traditionally been underserved by the industry. Temporary motorhome insurance is leading this next wave of product launches, with temporary taxi insurance and temporary car insurance for food & parcel delivery set to follow shortly.
“The motorhome sector, in particular, has seen a rise in peer-to-peer borrowing*, particularly in 2026 with the cost of foreign travel soaring and staycations set to rise – yet navigating the insurance requirements can be a pain point for both lenders and borrowers.
“Motorhomes and campervans are all about freedom, and our temporary insurance solution is designed to give customers just that. Our policies simplify the borrowing process, mitigate risk for the owner and open up new avenues of flexible, short-term use to enable drivers to get out and enjoy the open road.
“Our goal is to provide customers with practical, flexible products that mirror how people work, travel and monetise their vehicle use today.”
Building on a strong period of operational momentum for the brand, following the successful launch of its mobile app last year, the latest product expansion further strengthens GoShorty’s position as a growing provider of flexible, short-term vehicle insurance.
