Justin Lee
Nationwide’s head of Institutional Life Insurance (ILI), Jessica Dowdy, has announced that Justin Lee will lead the unit’s Product Strategy and Delivery team. In this role, Lee is responsible for ensuring Nationwide’s Institutional Life Insurance business delivers strong results by developing, designing and actively managing solutions, including corporate-owned life insurance (COLI) and bank-owned life insurance (BOLI) products.
Lee brings nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to the role. Since joining Nationwide in 2002, he has become known for his ability to turn strategy into action, align stakeholders and deliver results that drive sustainable, profitable growth.
Most recently, Lee served as a senior associate vice president on the Nationwide Financial Finance team, where he was responsible for supporting the ILI team. He successfully oversaw the development of key products and features that improved the partner and customer experience, including clearer experience-based pricing and asset-based fee structures that better aligned to account size. Prior to this role, Lee held several key leadership positions supporting the pricing and product development strategy for ILI’s COLI and BOLI products.

Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from The Ohio State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
