“…it would seem that it has been left on the back burner by some boat owners for too long.”
I have just read the article regarding insurance requirements for moorage and would ask the question: What has taken those who have not had insurance so long to start the process of getting it, or at least investigating what they may need to do [“Boat insurance to be investigated by City of Powell River staff,” November 18]?
This has been on the “books” for almost one year and it would seem that it has been left on the back burner by some boat owners for too long. Surely their investment, not to mention that of those near them, would dictate that they should have had insurance without being required to.
