Germany-based Munich Re Specialty Group Insurance Services Inc. has completed the sale of boat insurance specialist GJW Direct to Ripe Insurance Services Ltd., both based in the U.K., Reinsurance News reported. The sale, first announced in October 2024, followed a strategic review by Munich Re Specialty. The acquisition significantly increases Ripe’s U.K. marine insurance market share.
