Newfront Insurance Inc. on Tuesday said it had snared three further executives from Marsh LLC, naming Wendy Cook head of insurance placement, Frannie Epps head of casualty and Lauren Pratscher head of casualty placement.
As head of insurance placement, Ms. Cook will lead carrier strategies at Newfront and serve as the regional managing director for the Midwest, a statement said.
She was most recently managing director and Chicago office head at Marsh and served as corporate segment leader in Marsh’s North central zone.
Ms. Epps most recently led Marsh’s casualty practice for the Central U.S.
Ms. Pratscher most recently served in a dual role as the corporate casualty placement leader, fostering marketing relationships with key trading partners, and as a senior casualty adviser in the Fortune 500 space.
All three hires are based in Chicago. Ms. Cook reports to CEO Spike Lipkin, and Ms. Epps and Ms. Pratscher report to Ms. Cook, according to an email from a spokeswoman.
Newfront in December hired senior Marsh leader John Newell and has lured other longtime executives away from the broker.
Newfront was founded as an insurtech in 2017 and merged with brokerage ABD Financial Services Inc. in 2021. It is the 40th-largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
