Passenger injuries in Mississippi

Passengers are vulnerable to the very same injuries as drivers, including traumatic brain injuries and broken bones. Regardless of what caused the accident, it is most likely that someone other than the passenger is liable for their injuries.

In Mississippi, auto insurance coverage is a must for all drivers. In the event of a passenger-injury accident, this coverage will be used to pay for any damages endured by a passenger so they can start putting their life back together.

Typically, filing a claim against an insurance carrier only results in a settlement offer so low, that it might not even cover the claimant’s basic medical expenses. Anytime an insurance adjuster makes an initial offer, you should speak with an experienced personal injury attorney in Mississippi before you accept it.

Passengers are in a unique position when it comes to car accidents in Mississippi. An injured passenger is rarely responsible for the incident, however, this does not mean they are any less likely to sustain injuries during a crash.
