7 Ways To Save Money on Car Insurance As Inflation Soars


Reliance General car insurance provides seven add-ons which can be opted by the policyholder while buying the car policy at a nominal premium cost. The add-on covers are explained as follows:

   1. Zero Depreciation Cover: Coverage for zero depreciation is also popularly known as bumper to bumper coverage which provides the entire value of repairs without any deduction for depreciation, in case of any damage to the vehicle.

   2. EMI Protection Cover: The insurer takes care of the insured’s three EMIs of the current loan, if the insured’s vehicle is in any of the network garage for more than a month.

    3. Consumables Cover: Consumables cover provides the coverage for consumables items such as nuts, bolts, vehicle oil, refrigerants, coolants, electrolytes, fluids, nuts, bolts, screws, filters, bearings, washers, clips and other similar items.

   4. Engine Protection Cover: Offers protection against any damage of the engine arising due to any sort of oil leakage, natural calamities or mechanical issues.

    5. Key Protect Cover: Cover the expenses related to the repair or replacement of car keys or lock set. It is advisable to go for this cover, if one drives an expensive and luxury car.

    6. NCB Retention Cover: This cover retains the no-claim bonus even if the insured makes a claim during the policy tenure. However, one can opt only for one claim in the policy year.

    7. Return to Invoice: Provides the benefit of receiving back the amount of your car’s invoice value, which includes the cost of registering a new vehicle and its road tax.
