Flood insurance can help residents and business owners recover from losses caused by floods, but the cost of insurance remains a challenge for many. Learn more about flood insurance and what it covers by visiting FloodSmart.gov. If you would like to chat online with a Flood Insurance Specialist, visit the FEMA Mapping and Insurance eXchange (FMIX)Â or call 1-877-336-2627. Standard homeowners or renters insurance does not cover damages resulting from a flood.
