“While the impact of petrol vs electric on premiums will vary between individuals, for our hypothetical customer, let’s call her Chloe, our research found that, on average, there is a 40.1 per cent difference in quotes for comprehensive car insurance based on comparable petrol and electric cars,” Mr Taylor from Compare the Market said.
