Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. on Thursday named former Swiss Re Ltd. executive Claudia Cordioli group chief financial officer, effective March 1, 2024.
Ms. Cordioli succeeds George Quinn, who is stepping down after 10 years as group CFO but who will oversee the completion of Zurich’s 2023 annual results, a Zurich statement said.
She will be based in Zurich, reporting to Group CEO Mario Greco, according to an email from a spokeswoman.
Ms. Cordioli was most recently group finance director at Swiss Re, a position she held since April 2022, and before that she was CFO of the reinsurance business unit from 2020 to 2022, the statement said.
She was named one of Business Insurance’s 2019 Women to Watch.
