A Yale woman is facing charges relating to insurance fraud.
The Iowa Insurance Division recently announced that 54 year old Jeannette Gerloff was investigated by the IID Fraud Bureau. According to court documents, the investigation began in October 2023, and it was found that Gerloff filed false statements to her insurer for a claim for payment on her renters insurance. Through these false statements, she obtained $2,487.34 which she wouldn’t have been entitled to otherwise. Gerloff was charged with one count of insurance fraud – presenting false information and one count of second degree theft, both Class D Felonies. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring more information as it becomes official.
