Relion Insurance Solutions, one of Iowa’s largest insurance agencies, has been acquired by ALKEME, a top 35 national insurance brokerage. The move gives ALKEME a significant foothold in the Midwest and marks a new chapter for the Iowa company, which has been serving clients for more than 140 years.
Formed in 2020 through the merger of two independent Iowa agencies, Relion has offices in seven cities across the state – including Cedar Rapids and Iowa City – and has earned recognition as an Iowa Top Workplace for the past four years. The agency will continue operating under the Relion name while gaining access to ALKEME’s broader resources and national reach.
“Joining ALKEME allows us to build on our legacy while expanding our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions across the Midwest,” said Relion CEO Scott Enyart in a news release.
Relion is known for its deep community ties and personalized service for businesses, families, and individuals throughout Iowa and neighboring states.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Ladera Ranch, California, ALKEME Insurance has quickly grown into one of the top insurance brokers in the United States. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, and financial solutions. ALKEME has completed over 50 acquisitions and operates from more than 40 locations across 22 states. It ranks among the top 35 largest agencies in the country, according to Insurance Journal, and is the fifth fastest-growing broker in the U.S., according to Business Insurance.
