Freebies, Deals And Steals

- Carne asada was apparently Chipotle’s most-searched-for menu item last year — that’s one reason why the chain is bringing the meat back for a limited time. To celebrate, Chipotle is offering free delivery for all carne asada orders through Sept. 30. And on Sept. 15, anyone who wears a college football jersey to the restaurant can get a buy-one-get-one free entree deal. More info here.
- 7-Eleven’s Bring Your Own Cup Day is on Saturday, where customers will be invited to bring their own drinking vessels — not just proper cups — and fill them up with Slurpees for just $1.99. The convenience store chain suggests fishbowls, flower vases, pitchers and popcorn buckets, but the options are endless — as long as the vessel is clean, watertight and able to stand upright inside a 10-inch cutout incident each store.
