PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to study the proposal to increase the insurance payment coverage for private motor vehicles amid the spate of fatal vehicular accidents in the past days, Malacañang said Wednesday.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President directed Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon to look into the proposal to adopt the insurance system for public utility vehicles (PUVs) to that of private motor vehicles in order to ensure fair benefits claims in cases of death and permanent disability.
