Everest Insurance International, a division of Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Everest Group, Ltd., has appointed Laura-Jayne Hamblin as Head of D&F Property.
Based in London, Hamblin joins the firm with 20 years of industry expertise.
She joins Everest from AXIS Capital, where she most recently held the role of senior underwriter – global property.
Prior to AXIS Capital, she served as a class underwriter – international property at global insurer, Chubb.
Moreover, between November 2009 – August 2020, Hamblin worked at Apollo Syndicate 1969, where she gained valuable experience across the industry.
When she joined the firm, she took on the role of assistant property underwriter, before later going on to serve as a property underwriter within the firm’s direct & facultative property team.
Lastly, Hamblin also previously worked at Zurich Insurance Company, where she served as a global service consultant, claims handler, and underwriter.
In a statement, Everest said: “Laura-Jayne’s strong industry experience positions her well to lead the Property Syndicate team as we continue to enhance our offering.”
