FOND DU LAC — Society Insurance has been named one of the best insurance companies to work for in a national magazine.
Insurance news magazine Business Insurance listed Society Insurance 16th on the top 22 places to work in the “Medium Employer” category for the 2023 “Best Places to Work” feature. The category includes companies with 250 to 999 U.S. employees.
Best Companies Group identifies top employers in various industries, and, in collaboration with Business Insurance, ranks agents, brokers, insurers and other providers with the highest levels of employee engagement and satisfaction, based on a free assessment engaging both employers and employees.

Society Insurance insures restaurants, bars and other small to medium businesses not just in Fond du Lac, but across the Midwest and beyond.
As a workplace, it received recognition from the annual awards for its belief that happy employees are motivated to succeed, so it offers remote work, telecommuting, flexible scheduling and generous paid time off, as well as a wellness program that features health club reimbursements, free annual health risk assessments and sessions with health-coach nurses, according to a news release from Society Insurance.
Society Insurance also offers a 401(k) profit-sharing match and defined-contribution retirement deposits as part of its benefits package.

For the community, the company promotes engagement with grants from the employee-led Charity Committee, paid volunteer time off and an employee charitable match program.

This is the third consecutive year the company has been featured.
In addition to the “Medium Employer” category, the awards feature nine insurance businesses that have more than 1,000 employees and 69 businesses that have fewer than 250 employees.
