As part of its ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of professionals, Heffernan welcomed 30 college interns this summer across a broad range of departments, including Commercial Insurance, Personal Insurance, Wealth Management, Finance, IT, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, and the Heffernan Foundation.

Each intern was assigned both an individual project and a collaborative group initiative, designed to deliver meaningful business impact. The group projects addressed cross-functional challenges and were presented directly to the executive leadership team, offering fresh insights and innovative ideas for client-facing teams such as producers, account managers, and wealth advisors.
Beyond practical experience, interns participated in professional development programming, including CIAB education courses, skill-building sessions with Heffernan’s corporate trainer, and executive coffee chats that offered an inside look at leadership across the organization. The program also emphasized community impact, with interns volunteering at The Crayon Initiative as part of Heffernan’s broader culture of service.
