Carol Voorhees
The Board of Directors of NJM Insurance Group formally approved Carol Voorhees to the position of President & Chief Executive Officer at its meeting on July 25. Voorhees most recently served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. She becomes the first woman and tenth chief executive in the Company’s 112-year history.

After 29 years of service, I understand NJM’s value proposition and what makes us special – providing outstanding service to our policyholders,” said Voorhees. “As we begin this new chapter, I look forward to continuing NJM’s mission of serving the needs of our customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.”
Carol Voorhees joined NJM in 1996 in the information technology department. She steadily assumed roles of increasing responsibility. Voorhees was instrumental in creating a project management process and led several strategic technology upgrades at the company. In 2018, the Board of Directors elected her to the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, and she joined the Company’s Executive Leadership Team. Voorhees was named Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer in 2024.
