Peggy Hollanger-Munnerlyn Obituary | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Peggy Hollanger-Munnerlyn, of Stuttgart, passed peacefully May 30, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a short battle with her returning AML. She originally was diagnosed with AML in 2001, and quickly went into remission for 24 years, which she often called her bonus years.
She was born Aug. 30, 1942, to Floyd and Lorraine Wright, of Tennessee.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie (Tony) Davis, of Stuttgart; grandson, Ty (Tori) Davis, of Stuttgart; granddaughter, Carlin (Jake) Albarado; along with great-grandchildren, Parker Albarado and Lillian Albarado, of Napoleonville, La. She had a bonus grandson, Randy Munnerlyn, and his family, of Mount Vernon, Ark. She is also survived by sisters, Floraine Edgar and Nita Middleton; brother, Harold (Martha) Wright, Guy (Shirley) Wright, Bruce (Paula) Wright, Jim (Elaine) Wright; and sister-in-law, Linda Wright.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Glen Wright; and husbands, Ronnie Hollanger and Boe Munnerlyn; and her very special friend, Sonny Heien.
She came to Stuttgart in 1966, and immediately started attending Southside Baptist Church, and never saw a reason to check out any other church. Peggy considered it a privilege to bake sourdough rolls for any activity at Southside as needed for many years, as well as other friends and family.
She retired from Farmers Protective Insurance Company after 37 years of service.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Rondal Richardson, will follow at 11 a.m., with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery, by Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 424, Stuttgart, Ark., 72160, or the donor’s choice.
