The Spencer Educational Foundation Inc. said Wednesday it has awarded 103 scholarships totaling $690,718 to undergraduate, full-time master’s, part-time master’s and Ph.D. students in 2023.
This is the highest number of recipients and scholarship award total in its history, the New York-based organization said.
Scholarships awarded this year included 64 named scholarships totaling $372,500, including 26 merit-based diversity scholarships, which are earmarked for students identifying with historically underrepresented groups in the industry.
The foundation’s scholarships are merit-based and awarded to students studying at institutions in the U.S. and Canada who aim to pursue a career in risk management and insurance.
