MOULTRIE — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Brent Chitty – State Farm Agent as its October Business of the Month.

Located at 1 Longleaf Office Park in Moultrie, the office is owned and operated by Brent Chitty and his dedicated team.

Chitty’s journey into insurance began after graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in agricultural economics, the chamber said. While he originally considered a career in the business side of agriculture, a friend introduced him to the insurance industry, and he quickly discovered a passion for helping people. He first worked with Mutual of New York, selling life and health insurance along with annuities, before returning to Moultrie. There, he gained valuable mentorship from respected agents who instilled in him the importance of always putting clients first.

In 1988, Chitty was appointed as a State Farm agent, fulfilling his goal of owning a business while serving his community. Nearly 38 years later, he and his team bring a combined 82 years of experience to their work. Their agency provides a full range of services, including auto, motorcycle, homeowners, renters, business, life, recreational vehicles, and boat insurance.

“Brent’s ties to Colquitt County run deep,” the chamber said. “His family has called this area home for generations, and his daughters now operate their own businesses in downtown Moultrie. He considers the people of Moultrie and Colquitt County his extended family, whether they are clients or not, and takes pride in giving back to the community.

“Known for their dedication, expertise, and strong commitment to customer service, Brent and his team continue to make a lasting impact,” the chamber continued. “The Moultrie Colquitt County Chamber congratulates Brent Chitty State Farm Insurance on being named the October Business of the Month and thanks them for their continued service to our community.”
